St Malachy’s College is the oldest Catholic Boys’ Grammar School in the Diocese of Down and Connor. The College is renowned for its outstanding pastoral care, excellent academic results and extra-curricular provision and performance.
The Board of Governors of the College invites applications for the following positions:
To provide a confidential and professional administrative service to the Principal.
Essential Criteria: 5 GCSE’s/O Levels including English and Maths (grades A to C) or equivalent qualifications. Fully conversant with Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Criteria: A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience working in an office environment. Word-processing experience/qualification. Knowledge of the C2K computer system.
Salary: NJC points 1 to 4 (£16,100 to £17,085 pro-rata for 0.9 FTE)
Working hours: From mid-August to June, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Undertake, as part of a team, the cleaning of any area within the College premises, designated by the Bursar or Cleaner Supervisor, to enable those premises to be kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Hours & Pay: 16hrs 35mins per week starting at 3.30pm Monday to Friday during term-time and 9.30am or 12.30pm during school holidays. £9.69 per hour.
Essential Criteria: Applicants must hold at least six months’ experience in a cleaning job or a job with a significant amount of cleaning as part of the role.
Desirable Criteria: Preference may be given to applicants with at least twelve months’ cleaning experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
Criteria may be enhanced on all posts for short-listing purposes.
