On Thursday the 9th of October a number of St Malachy’s Gaeilgeoirí represented the College (and joined with others from around the globe) in a world record attempt for the longest continuous conversation in Irish.
Each group, school and organisation involved was allocated a one hour slot as they endeavoured to smash the current record that stands at an impressive one hundred and sixty-eight hours! The world record bid was broadcast live online and many fans took to social media to commend our students for their fluency and articulacy. Conformation of the result is expected next week but in the meantime we would like to extend a massive Comhghairdeas to all those who took part in the event.
The boys involved were:
Malachy Donnelly (8B)
Piaras Finucane (8B)
Jamie Morrow Year (8B)
