On Friday 21st November, a representative from ‘Líofa’ visited the College to speak to students about opportunities to enhance their fluency in the Irish language by availing of a Gaeltacht Bursary Scheme, recently introduced by Carál Ní Chuilín, Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure.
The new scheme aims to encourage as many people as possible to attend a Gaeltacht summer course. Mr O’Neill, who organised the event said that he ‘hopes that some of our boys will be successful in obtaining a scholarship’ and ‘wishes them all the best on their journey to becoming ‘Líofa.’’
