St Malachy’s College host local heats in Credit Unions of Ireland School Quiz

On Friday 30th of January, St Malachy’s College was the venue for the area heats of The Credit Unions of Ireland School Quiz.

Fourteen teams from local primary and secondary schools participated in the event and the College entered two teams who went on to take second and third place. Belfast Royal Academy secured the top spot by the narrowest of margins – one point – in the end! We wish them all very best as they now progress to the next round of the competition.

In the Primary category the competition was steep with Cavehill Primary School emerging as eventual winners. Mrs Moorehead noted that the ‘victorious team deserved their win’.

Thank you to all of those who took part and to Mr Barney Devenny and his team at Newington Credit Union for all their hard work in organising such a fun and stimulating afternoon.
