Thirty-four Year 13 Business Studies and Maths students attended a Taster morning run by Queen’s University Management School on Wednesday 28th January, accompanied by Mrs Ewart and Mr Carlin.

The morning was specifically designed for students who are applying through UCAS in 2015 and those who are potentially interested in applying for one or more of the following degree programmes: Accounting, Actuarial Science and Risk Management, Business Management, Economics or Business Economics, Finance and International Business with a Modern Language (German, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Mandarin).

The purpose of this event was for the university to provide students with an opportunity to learn more about the Management School and life at Queen’s in general. Pupils had the chance to speak informally with staff and students of the Management School and to find out more about the specific degree programmes mentioned offered. This will hopefully allow the Year 13s to become more aware of the differences between the various degree programmes and to make a more informed choice when applying through UCAS.
