On Friday 27 January our Year 13 Art and Design Students attended a talk at the Golden Thread Gallery by Sean Hillen. “100 works” is the first major exhibition by the Newry born artist in Northern Ireland. His work features politically charged collages that reflect life in Ireland dating from the 1980’s to the present day.
The students enjoyed hearing Sean’s personal story and the way his work expresses how it felt to grow up in Northern Ireland during the troubles.
