On Wednesday 15th October approximately fifty-five Year 10 Irish students took part in the annual Irish Language ‘Gael Linn’ quiz at the Falls Leisure Centre in Belfast.
Despite facing fierce competition from other local schools on a variety of topics ranging from general knowledge to sport, music and television, the College managed to claim first place for the third year in a row! The boys celebrated their victory with a Ceilí dance that rounded off a rather splendid day.
The winning team included: Séamus Mac An Bháicéara, Ruairí Ó Dioscoin, Cormac Mac Giolla Easpaig and Conall Mac Domhnaill from 10B (pictured above with Mr McBride).
This is a fantastic achievement and the Irish Department are extremely proud of the boys’ efforts and would like to thank Gael Linn for organising such a great day.
Comhghairdeas libh a bhuachaillí!
