With the last week of term almost upon us, the College St Vincent de Paul Society has been busy with their annual Christmas appeal. This year, the target is forty-five hampers and gifts for forty-five disadvantaged children and young people in North Belfast. Mr Lenaghan (SVP Coordinator) is confident of reaching this target and suspects that we may even surpass it!
This afternoon, 8D invited the website to follow their preparations. Ms Marcus praised her form class for their ‘extreme generosity’ with the fundraising this year. She described how the boys were charged with putting together a thoughtful gift for a five year old boy and they did not disappoint. Presents included: a football, colouring materials, books, cars, dressing up costumes and much, much more! They teamed this with goods to create an overflowing hamper for a family in need this Christmas.
Well done 8D and thanks to all the boys (and tutors) for their fantastic efforts this month.
