Science Technician (Chemisty) - Temporary Post
The Board of Governors of the College invite applications for the above position(s).
St Malachy’s College is the oldest Catholic Boys’ Grammar School in the Diocese of Down and Connor. The College is renowned for its outstanding pastoral care, excellent academic results and extra-curricular provision and performance.
To provide organisational support to Chemistry and Junior Science teaching staff in the implementation of the College’s/Department’s educational programme.
Essential Criteria: 5 GCSE's (Grade C or better) or equivalent qualification including Chemistry, English Language and Maths.
Desirable Criteria: A Level Chemistry, successful completion of training for science technicians, laboratory work experience and/or knowledge of IT.
Working hours & weeks: The post is term-time, with 195 working days (185 term-time days, 10 staff days). Working hours, Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Salary: NJC Scale Points 11 - 14 (£24,368 - £25,579 pro-rata).
