All Island Schools for Climate Action launch

On Wednesday 14th October, pupils from St. Malachy’s travelled to Co. Meath to meet up with the other 20 schools in the All Island Schools for Climate Action launch. St. Malachy’s is partnering with our Shared Education link Belfast Royal Academy to take part in this exciting online learning and social action initiative. The project is developed and funded by Cooperation Ireland.

On the day we met with our three hub schools from Co. Cork and chose the team name the ‘Green Knights’. Back in Belfast the group will complete online climate education modules provided by the Alison platform, in term two they will design and undertake a social action project. Everyone had a great day and new friendships were forged. Everyone is very excited to get started, to help the planet and develop all island links.
