The College marked Organ Donation Week in style — with a Bake Off celebrating the European Day of Languages! Pupils and staff brought their creativity to the kitchen, and our very own “Pollock Hollywood” had the tough job of judging.
Conor McQuillan (Year 9) wowed us all with his globe-shaped cake, taking home the Student Bake Off crown!
In LLW lessons, Key Stage 3 pupils explored the importance of organ donation, sparking powerful conversations and raising awareness.
Staff proudly wore pink to show their support, and together we raised an incredible ÂŁ637 for Donate4DáithĂ — a cause close to our hearts. Miss Finn, who received a cornea transplant in February 2024, shared her story, making the event even more meaningful.
We were honoured to welcome DáithĂ and his dad MáirtĂn to the College to receive the donation. Their campaign led to the passing of DáithĂ’s Law, introducing a soft opt-out organ donation system in Northern Ireland.
Go raibh mĂle maith agaibh to everyone who baked, donated, and took part! đź’š
Mar thoradh ar an fheachtas Donate4DáithĂ, ritheadh DlĂ DáithĂ, cĂłras scar-rogha do DheonĂş Orgán i dTuaisceart na hÉireann. Ba mhĂłr an onĂłir dĂşinn fáilte a chur roimh DáithĂ agus a athair MáirtĂn chuig Coláiste MhaolmhaodhĂłg leis an deonachán a bhronnadh.
Ba mhaith linn ár mbuĂochas a gabháil le gach duine a bhácáil, a thug sĂntiĂşs agus a ghlac páirt đź’š
