On Wednesday 10th December, Mayor of Belfast, Nicola Mallon invited Tom Deazley to attend a reception in her Chambers at the Belfast City Hall. In the company of his parents, a representative from NI Opera and his school principal, Mrs Mallon recognised Tom’s great contribution to the city of Belfast, using his musical gifts to demonstrate the wealth of talent which exists in this part of the world.

Mrs Mallon congratulated Tom on his recent superb performances in Moscow and Zurich starring as ‘Miles’ in Benjamin Britten’s famed opera The Turn of The Screw, and the Mayor also praised Tom for ‘acting as a great ambassador for music in Belfast’.
