On Friday 23rd January, a group of Year 10 Irish students travelled to Lurgan to compete in the final of this year's Gael Linn’s Irish quiz.

This prestigious event is attended by the winners of regional heats from across the country and is by invitation only. The boys performed extremely well, winning second place overall. The winning team included: Séamus Mac An Bháicéara, Ruairí Ó Dioscoin, Cormac Mac Giolla Easpaig and Conall Mac Domhnaill 10B.

Ms O’Dare commented that the Irish Department is ‘extremely proud of these pupils and their achievement as success at this level has not been achieved by College for some time’.
