The 89th St Malachy’s College Old Boys’ Association dinner was held on Friday 13th March in the Crolly study. This was the second year of the venue being used and like last year, it was a wonderful success.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr Tom Lynch, Alumnus, and friend of the College. His address alluded to current education and the future role we can all play in developing higher education facilities and capacity in the local universities.
Mr Paul McBride, Principal, welcome all the guests and as a past pupil himself, recounted how honoured he felt returning to the College to preside over such a celebration of College life.
SMCOBA President, Mr Paul Shields and the committee excelled themselves in creating a wonderful atmosphere. The tone of the night reflected the College’s aspirations for the coming years. It focused on celebrating the past, enjoying the success of the present and building capacity and facilities for the future.
