Last Wednesday parents and staff enjoyed a wonderful evening of music, song and drama as students from Years 8, 9 and 10 took to the stage in the College Hall. The Junior Concert (which has developed into an annual event in recent years) provides a platform for younger students to perform for an audience, thereby developing their performance skills.

Notable highlights were The Voices in Unity Choir (a collaboration between the College and Hazelwood Integrated College), the Guitar Group’s performance of Guns and Roses’ Sweet Child O’ Mine and the Training Orchestra's Somewhere Over the Rainbow, conducted by Head of Music, Ms Lowry. Year Eight thespians also entertained with some short pieces from their work this term and a cup of tea was enjoyed by all, courtesy of The Friends of St. Malachy’s. The Voices in Unity Choir are currently in Paris where they will perform at Euro Disney – a most suitable setting for their rendition of ‘A Whole New World’ from Disney’s Aladdin!
