On the 22nd and 23rd of June, Year 11 Geography students travelled to Newcastle, County Down to gather data for their GCSE Controlled Assessment.
Pupils carried out an environmental survey along the main street before, asking the public their opinions about the impact of tourism on the area using questionnaires they had devised. . In the afternoon they visited Murlough Nature Reserve to observe how the coastal habitat is managed and to see evidence of the physical processes operating along that stretch of coastline.
A great day was had by all.
