For the past school year, almost thirty of our boys from years 8 and 9 have been working on a very special drama project. Led by Mrs Sarah McLoughlin and Dr Bailie, they have been rehearsing to perform, on the stage of the Grand Opera House, with members of the Royal Shakespeare Company in their 2016 touring production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” This incredible production was specially commissioned to mark the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. It has been touring across England and Scotland and is due to arrive in Belfast in just a few short weeks.

Our link to this project is through the RSC link to the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, and we have been working with the education department at the Lyric, especially Niki Doherty, who has been training the boys at lunchtimes and after schools. We are so thankful to Niki and Philip Crawford and everyone else at the Lyric for this amazing opportunity.
