Helena Wood Visit

On Friday 21st September the Senior Strings groups were put through their paces by distinguished violin soloist and orchestral leader Helena Wood, who is former principal violinist of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. Helena listened to the boys playing parts of Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, then offered some musical feedback before rehearsing the group. The boys thoroughly enjoyed working with Helena, who also spoke to them after the class about her career and where she had travelled with Music.

We look forward to hearing the Senior Strings soon after all their hard work! Many thanks to Helena for giving up her time to work with our boys. If you want to know more about Helena, please visit her website http://helenawood.com/biography/
